The new Suzuki Bandit 150 could be positioned below the Gixxer if the
brand decides to launch the model in India
Suzuki has officially revealed new Bandit 150 at GIIAS 2018. The Bandit
150 is based on GSX-S150, which made its debut last year. Both bikes
share same chassis but the Japanese manufacturer has given new body
style for Bandit 150 as it is positioned below GSX-S150 and misses out
sporty design elements. Suzuki wants to place Bandit 150 as conventional
commuter and is the third 150 cc bike to be spawned out of new
platform.
Suzuki has provided telescopic suspension at front with new fender and
Bandit 150 comes with striking looking LED headlamp along with new
single piece handle bar. The fuel tank is muscular but not as extreme as
GSX-S150 and it comes with fully digital instrument cluster. Suzuki
placed foot pegs towards middle and seating position is upright.
The new Suzuki Bandit 150 comes with single piece seat but it is curved
for rider and the company has reduced the height of rear. Suzuki has
also given LED tail lamp and indicators are shared from GSX-S150. The
alloy wheels are finished in black colour and the company has given
engine guard like most of its competitors.
Suzuki Bandit 150 comes with adjustable mono suspension at rear and the
company tuned the bike for comfort rather than handling. The Bandit 150
is powered by same engine from GSX-S150 and the 147.3 cc single cylinder
liquid cooled engine puts out 19 bhp of power at 10,500 rpm and 14 Nm
of torque at 9,000 rpm.

The gearbox is same 6 speed unit from GSX-S150 and the delivery output
will be linear. We can expect this engine to return excellent fuel
efficiency. The braking power for Bandit 150 comes from disc brakes at
front and rear. The Japanese manufacturer might not offer ABS system as
standard with Bandit 150.
