It’s been a while since Hero’s most affordable scooter, the Pleasure, received a significant update. That is set to change soon. A new iteration of the scooter will feature some significant visual changes as compared to the current model.
Reports suggest that the front-end features a new headlight design, which will be further highlighted by the use of a matte-silver trim around the headlight. A similar trim will also connect the new front indicators. Towards the rear, the scooter will get larger, body-coloured panels that will flow into a redesigned tail-light section.
Hero may retain the air-cooled, 102cc engine on the current model or else choose to update it to the slightly larger 110.9cc motor currently used on the Hero Maestro Edge and Duet. The basic, bottom-link suspension similar to the one on the current model is expected to be carried over to the updated Pleasure.
The current Hero Pleasure is available in two variants – an alloy wheel option, and a steel wheel option. Both scooters get drum brakes at either end, and come equipped with the Integrated Braking System. From the looks of it, the scooter in the picture seems to feature a drum brake, too. Currently, the Hero Pleasure (steel wheels) is priced at Rs 45,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi) with the alloy wheel variant costing Rs 2,000 more. When launched, the updated Hero Pleasure will see a minimal hike in its price, if it sees any at all.
