Suzuki has launched the Access 125 special edition at Rs 61,788 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Called the Access 125 SE, the scooter features minor cosmetic updates and the addition of a few standard features. This special version is available in the top-spec, disc-brake-equipped variant only and costs Rs 1,600 more than the standard disc-brake-equipped Access 125
The Suzuki Access 125 SE gets a new Metallic Matte Bordeaux colour scheme (in addition to the Metallic Matte Black, Metallic Sonic Silver and Pearl Mirage White) beige leatherette seat, a special edition badge and black alloy wheels. A set of chrome mirrors also sets it apart from the regular Access 125. Suzuki has added a DC socket as standard fitment as well, which will make it convenient to charge mobile phones while on the move. The same is available as an option with the other Access 125 variants.
The scooter features a long seat, wide footboard and generous storage – features that make it one of the popular 125cc scooters in the market. However, the best bit that appeals to us is the Access’ peppy motor. Its 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine develops 8.8hp at 7,000rpm; and 10.2Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Considering its low kerb weight, 101 kg makes it a sprightly performer.
The Suzuki Access 125 SE goes up against the TVS Ntorq 125 (Rs 59,995) and Honda Grazia 125 (Rs 65,374).
