The Bajaj Urbanite e-scooter has been spotted testing once again. The new set of images show the electric scooter from the left-hand side, while the older image only showed it from the right. These new pictures reveal the scooter’s front suspension setup, and also confirm many the styling highlights we previously predicted.
If looked at closely, spy shots of the scooter show that the front suspension is handled by a single-sided trailing arm unit, which looks similar to the ones you would find on a Vespa in India. But that’s not all, like the Vespa, Bajaj will also adopt retro styling. The curvy side panels and a wide front apron contrasted by contemporary multi-spoke alloy wheels are all clear giveaways of this.
Interestingly, sources in the know tell us that a few months ago, sketches of this scooter surfaced online with an internal combustion engine. We have been told that the only visible difference between the scooter in the sketch and the one spotted is the absence of an exhaust unit.
The Bajaj scooter that has been spied also appears to be production-ready and going through its final tests. Presently, we have no information on the technical specifications of the upcoming scooter, but we can expect more information to surface soon.
If the scooter in the image is, in fact, the upcoming Bajaj Urbanite e-scooter, it will rival all-electric offerings from brands like Ather, Okinawa and 22 Motors in India.
