Suzuki India has launched the new Gixxer 250 in India at Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Suzuki Gixxer 250 is, in essence, the naked version of the Gixxer SF 250 that was recently launched in the country.
The Gixxer 250 looks quite similar to its younger sibling, the Gixxer 155. It has the same LED headlamp design, split seats, fuel tank shape and tank extensions. The bigger Gixxer, however, gets a prominent plastic belly pan. The dual-tone, grey and white colours stand out and so do the bronze-finished engine casings and side panels.
The Gixxer 250 sports the same chassis, suspension, wheels and tyres as the Gixxer SF 250. They also share the same 249cc, single-cylinder, SOHC oil-cooled engine that makes 26.5hp at 9,000rpm and 22.6Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The fuel-injected unit comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Suzuki Gixxer 250 goes up against the Yamaha FZ25 (Rs 1.34 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi).
