TVS Srichakra Limited has announced the Eurogrip brand of tyres. There are a total of 19 tyres Eurogrip has in its portfolio, ranging from 10-inch scooter tyres to high-performance 17-inch units.
The tyre manufacturer says that its new line has been “targeted at meeting the needs of the millennial customer.” As a result the new Eurogrip tyres are claimed to be “sporty, vibrant and youthful visual identity” and are made after “extensive consumer research and significant investments in global R&D, design and technology platforms.”
Commenting on the new brand launch P Srinivasa Varadhan, President, TVS Srichakra Limited, said, “India will remain a promising market for two wheelers and we see tremendous growth opportunity. It is a moment of immense pride for all of us as we launch TVS Eurogrip catering to the needs and requirements of the new age Indian rider. With this step, we boldly stride into the future.”
“For over three decades now, we have established ourselves as a leading global brand in the two-wheeler tyre category,” he goes on to say. “We have always understood customers’ needs, their aspirations and dreams, and have provided them with products that enrich their riding experience. TVS Eurogrip has all the elements the new-age rider is looking for – design, superior quality [and] high performance.”
Eurogrip has a number of different tyre models it has on sale, namely Jumbo-JT, Sportorq, Dura Pro, Protorq Sport SR and the top-spec Protorq Extreme HR. The top-spec tyres have a ‘W’ speed rating, and thus claim to “provide unmatched stability at high speeds and are rated to run at speeds upto 270kph.”
The company has also announced that it’s also setting up a design and innovation centre in Milan, Italy.
