The 2020 versions of the CFMoto 650NK and 400NK have surfaced online, revealing subtle design changes and what seems like a new TFT instrument panel. The CFMoto 650NK and 400NK are both part of the naked streetfighter line in CFMoto’s portfolio and are essentially the same motorcycle, except for the 650NK’s bigger-capacity engine. At present CFMoto sells the 650NK in India along with the 650 MT and 650 GT
The updated CFMoto 650NK and 400NK get new tank extensions that stretch further forward to add more visual mass to the design. In addition, the front fender is new and features a dual-tone colour scheme. The rest of the body panels, however, are identical to the outgoing model and look contemporary enough to not really warrant a complete design overhaul. For the unaware, Kiska design – the same Austrian design house that has penned the lines on new-age KTMs – have styled the 650NK and 400NK.
Besides the small design tweak, one can also notice a flat instrument panel above the headlight, which suggests that the NKs could get a full-colour TFT display, replacing the dated LCD display on the previous model. At present, the CFMoto 650GT and 300NK are the only other CFMotos to feature a colour TFT display.
CFMoto could also upgrade the twin-cylinder engines to Euro 5/ BS6 specification with this update. CFMoto India did mention that BS6-compliant versions of its current products will be launched well in time for the BS6 emission norms that kick-in from April 2020.
We expect to see the updated 650NK and 400NK at the upcoming EICMA 2019. Stay tuned as we bring you more from our live coverage from the event.
