Jawa has announced a limited edition motorcycle based on the dual-channel ABS Jawa to celebrate 90 years since the brand came into existence. The Jawa ‘90th Anniversary Edition’ is limited to 90 units and is priced the same as the standard Jawa at Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). What’s even more interesting is that the bike will reach dealerships on the 15th of October and customers with existing bookings or those who make one before the 22nd of October will be eligible to opt for a draw that will determine whether they will get the limited edition bike - the delivery of which will happen immediately after the draw results are revealed.
The limited edition Jawa features a red and ivory paint scheme that’s inspired by the Jawa 500 OHV, the brand’s first motorcycle conceived in 1929. Every motorcycle will also feature a 90th Anniversary commemorative emblem on the fuel tank along with an individual serial number.
The technical specifications of the motorcycle remain unchanged; it is powered by a 293cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC engine that makes 27hp and 28Nm.
A couple months ago, Jawa announced a delivery estimator that gave you the latest details on when you will receive a bike you’ve booked. Winning this limited edition means you’ll get to skip the wait.
