TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with Bluetooth connectivity launched at Rs 1.14 lakh

TVS has added Bluetooth connectivity to the Apache RTR 200 4V and priced it at Rs 1.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it around Rs 3,000 costlier than the similarly equipped (carburetted, dual-channel ABS) standard RTR 200 4V.

While the cluster itself looks identical to the one on the current model, it features a revised layout within the display. The new display can pair to a smartphone via the TVS Connect application, which is available on Google Play Store and iOS App store. The application has multiple features, including navigation, race telemetry, tour mode, lean angle mode, crash alert, and call and SMS notifications.

The lean angle mode uses the mobile phone’s gyroscope sensor to record the rider’s lean angle through the corners and displays it on the cluster. Race telemetry, meanwhile, records and summarises essential data at the end of every race or ride. Crash alert, as the name suggests, is triggered when the application senses a fall; it is programmed to send the rider’s emergency contacts the location of the fall, within 180 seconds.

Another change on this variant is to the chain, it is now said to be golden in colour. Everything else, however, remains unchanged. The motorcycle continues to be a BS4 model and makes 20.5hp (carb) and 18.1Nm of torque.
