TVS Motor Company has launched its official riding gear and apparel line at Moto Soul 2019, in Goa. Moto Soul is TVS’ two-day annual event – the 2019 edition is the first iteration – where TVS enthusiasts and owners gather to celebrate their love for motorcycles. TVS says that the event presented an ideal platform to launch its new line of official gear.
The list of riding gear includes helmets, riding pants and riding jackets as well as gloves. In addition, there are riding boots – an ankle length one for city rides and another with protection up to the shin as well as toe sliders (aimed at those looking at sport touring or hitting the race track). Prices are pretty competitive too, considering the features and level of protection offered.
Helmets
The ISI and ECE certified helmets start at Rs 2,500 and go up to Rs 2,800. Made using a multi-density EPS liner, the helmets feature double D-ring retention and speaker pockets inside to install Bluetooth communication devices.
Riding jacket and pants
The riding jackets and pants are made of 600D polyester fabric and feature extensive mesh panels, keeping India’s hot climate in mind. Both feature CE Level 1 armour at critical impact areas like the shoulder, elbow and knees. The jacket and pants also feature stretch panels and adjustable straps to customise fit. The green jacket costs Rs 5,600 while the red jacket is priced at Rs 5,750. The riding pants will set you back by Rs 4,950.
Boots
The boots feature lightweight construction, dual density ankle protectors and a reinforced insole for added protection. In addition, the boots also get thermoplastic rubber protection.
Gloves
The gloves are made of PU with accordion panels and hard knuckle protector. They are touchscreen compatible and have a rubber wiper on the forefinger area to streak a helmet visor clean.
The urban wear gear essentially consists of a textile shirt and pants that feature armoured protection as well. Besides these products, TVS also offers a number of apparels and accessories, including a water-resistant backpack with 45-litres storage capacity.
