KTM has just launched its entire BS6 motorcycle line-up and some of its models have received more than just an updated engine. The 200 Duke has received the most substantial update of the lot; and deservedly so, considering it never received a significant update since the brand entered our country with the model, back in 2012. The new 200 Duke is priced at Rs 1.73 lakh – a whole Rs 10,496 over the outgoing BS4-compliant model.
For starters, the 200 Duke now features styling like the rest of the Duke range, its headlight and tank design most resembling the 250 Duke’s. And while the 199.5cc single-cylinder engine remains the same, it now sits inside a revised trellis frame that uses a bolt-on subframe.
The new tank also shows an increased fuel-capacity – now 13.5 litres, up from the 10.2-litre tank on the BS4 model – and the bike is now also equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit. The rest of the bike and its hardware remains the same. Peak power and torque figures remain unchanged too, with the bike producing 25hp at 10,000rpm and 19.3Nm of torque at 8,000rpm.
Deliveries of the 2020 KTM 200 Duke have begun and the bike is available in two new colour schemes: Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.
