The newly launched KTM 390 Adventure is not only being built in India for the local market but also for markets outside India. Speaking to KTM India, the company has said that exports of the new KTM 390 Adventure will commence from February 2020 onwards. KTM has been building the 390 Duke and RC 390 in India and exporting them for a while. So it's no surprise that the company is exporting the 390 Adventure as well.
That said, we expect the 390 Adventure units being exported to feature the same specifications as the bike that was shown in Milan at EICMA 2019. To elaborate, the India-spec KTM 390 Duke does not get the adjustable 43mm USD fork with compression and rebound adjustability.
The KTM 390 Adventure has been one of the most talked about and highly anticipated motorcycles over the past year. The bike was unveiled to enthusiasts in India at India Bike Week 2019. The bike was launched yesterday at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is pretty competitive, considering the equipment on offer, which includes traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter.
It uses the same 373.2cc, single-cylinder engine from the 390 Duke, with peak outputs of 44hp produced at 9,000rpm and 37Nm of torque coming in at 7,000rpm. The KTM 390 Adventure is the manufacturer’s first BS6-compliant motorcycle, and the rest of the range will soon follow suit.
