Ducati and the Lego Group have presented their latest creation – the Ducati Panigale V4 R. In recent times, it’s been car enthusiasts that Lego has catered to with the Technic models of the Bugatti Chiron, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 and the 2020 Land Rover Defender. However, motorcycle enthusiasts can now rejoice as the Lego Ducati is expected to hit stores from June 1, 2020.
The 646-piece kit also features a working two-speed gearbox, steering and front and rear suspension. To give you an idea of its dimensions, it's 32cm in length, 16cm in height and 8cm in width. Other details like the kickstand, exhaust system, windscreen and dashboard are a good imitation of the real bike.
Alessandro Cicognani, Ducati licensing director, said "Our hope is that the Ducati Panigale V4 R Lego Technic can bring together, excite and entertain children and parents, but also all the fans who ride their motorbikes every day."
Aurélien Rouffiange, senior designer of Lego Technic states, "It was essential for me to include as many details and features as I could, to capture all the curves and the unique design of the Red icon, to create for the first time a functioning gearbox and steering as well as a V4 cylinder engine that spins.”
The Lego Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R will be available in Ducati dealerships, in the Ducati Online Shop, in Lego Stores and on the Lego Online Store from June 1, priced at 59.99 Euro (around Rs 5,000).
