Triumph India has rolled out a unique EMI support plan for customers who wish to purchase a motorcycle from its Modern Classic range. The company will pay up to three EMIs of the Street Twin, Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120 and the Speedmaster. While the offer is valid only on bookings made in May, Triumph is expected to extend it. All of the above-mentioned motorcycles are BS6 models and gets some new colour options as well. Triumph will increase the price of the BS6 Bonnevilles after July 2020, as reported earlier.
This EMI support has been extended to push sales and encourage buying in these difficult times as automobile manufacturers and dealers are struggling. With a huge question mark looming over economic stability and livelihoods, such an offer could help take the burden off customers' shoulders, at least for three months. Also, with talks of a calibrated lockdown exit post-May 17 and other steps to restart the economy, buyer sentiment is expected to improve in the coming months.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the last couple of months have been nothing short of horrendous for the auto sector, and measures like EMI support and other similar initiatives are expected to be rolled out as things limp back to the new normal. Also, on another positive note, there are a number of new launches expected post lockdown. Triumph India is gearing up to launch a few motorcycles in the coming weeks, including the new Tiger 900 range.
