Honda has just announced an extension in the warranty enrollment period for its two-wheelers. The extended warranty - 2 years on BS4 models and three years on BS6 two-wheelers - can now be opted for within 550 days after the day of purchase. What this means is that you can extend the warranty on a Honda two-wheeler that’s less than 1.5 years old.
It’s quite nice to see HMSI offer this option on two-wheelers that are more than a year old. This extension will take the total warranty to 5 years (2-year standard + 3-year extended). The BS6 models, meanwhile, will have a total warranty coverage of 6 years (3-year standard + 3-year extended).
Honda has said that the warranty conditions for the extended warranty remain the same as that of the standard one. The company has also made it clear that warranty will cover high-cost parts and be valid across India.
