The Dominar 250 was launched in March 2020 at Rs 1.60 lakh. Six months later, its price was increased by Rs 4,090, and now, it’s been hiked again by Rs 1,625, taking the total to Rs 1,65,715.
This isn’t the first time Bajaj has periodically hiked the price of one of its models. In fact, we witnessed the company do this with the higher-capacity Dominar 400 as well. The updated Dominar 400 was launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.74 lakh, and since then, it has received multiple hikes and now costs Rs 1.96 lakh.
While the increased price on the Dominar 400 still undercuts its only rival, the Mahindra Mojo, it won’t be the case for the Dominar 250 if its price continues to increase.
The 250cc space is significantly more competitive and the Dominar 250 now costs as much as the Gixxer 250 (Rs 1,65,441) and quite a bit more than the Yamaha FZ 25, which has a base price of Rs 1,52,100. That said, it still continues to be more affordable than the 250cc Husqvarna twins that cost Rs 1,84,768.
All prices, ex-showroom, Delhi
