2021 Ducati Scrambler range revealed

The 2021 Ducati Scrambler range has been revealed and it has three additions to its line-up.

  • 2021 Ducati Scrambler range features new Nightshift variant

  • Icon and Desert Sled models get new colour schemes

  • 803cc, air-cooled, L-twin engine is now Euro 5 compliant

The most notable of the additions is the new Ducati Scrambler Nightshift, as the other two – Scrambler Desert Sled and Scrambler Icon – are tweaks over existing models. The fourth model that completes the Scrambler 800 range is the Icon Dark and it receives no updates, apart from the engine.

2021 Scrambler 800 engine

The 2021 Ducati Scrambler range, unsurprisingly, now complies with Euro 5 (BS6) norms. The entire range is powered by an 803cc, air-cooled, L-twin engine that makes 72hp at 8,250rpm and 66.2Nm of peak torque at 5,750rpm.

As the name suggests, the Scrambler Nightshift features a matte grey and charcoal colour scheme. There aren’t too many blacked-out bits like we’ve seen on some of Ducati’s recent models, such as the Ducati Diavel Dark, but it is a step away from the usually bright and colourful schemes of the Scrambler 800 range.

With regard to the styling, the bike features no rear mudguard, and this gives it a clean tail section. The use of a flat seat is also a nice retro touch.

2021 Scrambler Desert Sled

The 2021 Scrambler Desert Sled stays largely similar to its predecessor, barring the addition of a Sparkling Blue livery. It includes some red and white details on the fuel tank and mudguards, and gold rims – a tribute to the enduro bikes of the 1980s. Some other changes to this new iteration include the addition of a new seat and mesh headlight cover.

2021 Ducati Scrambler Icon

For 2021, the Scrambler Icon will also be available in the iconic Ducati Red colour, apart from the 62 Yellow. The rest of the bike remains unchanged.

2021 Ducati Scrambler India launch

The Scrambler models were previously on sale in India, and it’s very likely that they will make their way here in this new Euro 5 (BS6) guise as well. While there has been no official word from Ducati India, a launch sometime in early 2021 is likely.
