TVS launched its BS6-compliant Jupiter Classic back in November 2019 and revealed the price (Rs 67,911) and also showed what it’ll look like. What the company didn’t reveal though were the specifications. However, a government document has now revealed the power figure, and it’s slightly lesser than before.
Powering the scooter is a 109.7cc, single-cylinder engine, like before, but this time around it uses fuel-injection instead of a carburettor and also uses a revised exhaust system. These modifications have also brought about a change in the power figures of the scooter and it now makes 7.4hp at 7,000rpm. The older BS4-compliant model, in comparison, made 8hp at 7,500rpm. While the leaked document doesn’t have the torque figure listed, it’s likely to have come down as well.
TVS claims that the Jupiter Classic now delivers 15 percent better fuel efficiency. When it comes to new features, it gets a USB charger, storage space in the front, and a tinted visor. The new Jupiter Classic ET-Fi will be available in three colour schemes – Sunlit Ivory, Autumn Brown and a new Indiblue option. TVS is yet to reveal prices for the TVS Jupiter Base, ZX and Grande editions.
